12 Warning Signs Every Cat and Dog Owner Should Know
Hiding
If your pet usually wants your attention and company but suddenly changes in behavior and opts to hide in places you can’t reach them, it could be a warning sign. If you moved into a new place or it is not used to the new environment, just give it time to adjust. Severe stress can be the reason. If not, take them to the vet as they may be feeling unwell. For dogs, it is very uncommon to hide, so take them to the vet immediately.
Changes in eye appearance
Red eyes and excessive eye secretion are possible signs of bacterial and viral infections. If a pet cat has a clear excretion, it has a virus. If the secretion is yellow or green, the cause is an infection. If their eyes are wet, it may need a vet checkup. Otherwise, your pet might lose its vision.
Lethargy
Your pet might have a fever or severed problems like dehydration or heart disease if your pet’s energy doesn’t seem to come back after 24-48 hours.
For me, I’d rather spend a few dollars and waste time to take my pets to the vet only to find it was nothing serious than brush off some symptoms which could already be making my pet suffer. Are you ready to watch the video?
