Breed stereotyping is not the answer to preventing incidents of dogs attacking people. Dogs have reasons for attacking, and by knowing how to prevent such acts then we are able to protect ourselves and dogs in any untoward incidents. Knowledge is the key to making sure humans and all animals, not only Pit Bulls can live in peace and harmony.
Lie Number 8: Nobody wants a Pit Bull for a pet.
Truth: Vetstreet conducted a survey and Pit Bulls ranked as one of the Top Most Popular dog breeds in 28 states.
This only means there lots of Pit Bull owners and lovers out there who truly believe this breed is definitely worth it as a pet.
Because of all the misinformation that people tend to spread on news, internet, and word of mouth, these poor babies got a bad name when they don’t really deserve that. If one paid attention to the truth behind all the lies listed above, you’ll learn that it is us, humans that gave Pit Bulls a bad name. If we did not use them and bred them for dog fights, then they would never have a tainted reputation.
Like any other creature, human, Pit Bulls, or any other dog breed, the way we act will depend on our surroundings. There are only two ways on how to react to pain, fear, and threat, that is to either to fight or flight. But since Pit Bulls were originally bred for bear biting, they are naturally strong and fearless, they were used as pawns in dogfights.
I hope many people will get to read this review for them to understand that Pit Bulls can be as great as a pet as any other breed.
