Abandoned Dog Howls For Days At The Same Place Where Owner Left Her

Unaware of having been abandoned, Samantha waited in the parking lot for days, howling most of the time. Samantha would move across the lot and check the various cars parked there, she would look through windows and look on with hope. According to Mary Murphy, she was clearly waiting for her owner to come back for her. A week passed and no one returned. There was no follow up from anyone to find a lost dog. At this stage, Mary Murphy realized that Samantha was indeed dropped off and abandoned, intentionally.
Fortunately for Samantha, Murphy is a dog lover and she also has a dog, in addition to volunteering with Arrow Dog Rescue. She spent days watching Samantha. She even brought her dog so Samantha could have some company. Murphy could not take Samantha as she had no collar. She could only get close enough to get a collar on after nine days when Samantha trusted her enough.
Samantha is presently under the supervision of Arrow Dog Rescue and looking for a new home.
