Most dogs love mud, and after a good walk, they can come home with their mud-stained skin. Such stains can become a headache, so make sure to clean up as quick as you can if the mud is on floors and walls.

Mops can only spread the mud and that is something you wouldn’t like. While using toilet papers may seem a waste, it is the best way to clean without making an even bigger mess. As for mud stains on carpets, do the opposite and let it dry first. Once the mud is dry, simply vacuum the bits up.

Dog’s Slobber

There are dogs who constantly saliva dripping everywhere. It would be best to train your dog not to rub his slobbery face on furniture, carpets and the like. For slobbers up the wall or floors, handy paper towels are your answer. It would be best to keep an eye on your dog and wipe him up once you see his slobber.

For saliva-stained fabric, here’s what you can do. Scrape excess saliva with a plastic tool like a spoon while it is still moist. Mix 1 qt. of warm water, 1 tablespoon of ammonia and ½ teaspoon of dishwashing liquid. Let the fabric soak for 15 minutes and scrub the stain with a toothbrush before soaking it for another 15 minutes.

Rinse with warm water, and use enzyme prewash stain remover on the stain for about half an hour. Soak it for a longer period of time if the stain is still there. Wash with laundry detergent and oxygen bleach and rinse well.

Bloodstains

If you notice blood stains that came from your dog, make sure your pooch is safe first and check for the injury. Small wounds can be treated at home. As for bigger wounds, take him to the vet immediately.

Using a cornstarch or cornmeal paste, soak up the blood stain for about 15 minutes. After this, use vinegar full strength. After that, use club soda. For extra precautions. For a better clean you can also use a commercial product with enzymes.
