When This Couple Pulled Frozen Wolf Out Of The River They Didn’t Expect This To Happen
But that was to be in vain. The woman tried to make the wolf feel warm and even tried to pump in some air through the mouth. The couple tried CPR and the wolf still showed no signs of recovery. It was a lost cause, almost.
A few moments after the CPR, Navarre showed signs of life. He had a heartbeat, started breathing although feebly and tried to make slight movements. He could not move his hind limbs, which was later found to be paralyzed due to freezing. Navarre was taken to the Monte Adone Wildlife Center. En route he was given a blanket, kept warm and a hairdryer was used to comfort dry the fur. It was apparent that Navarre would have to undergo several treatments but it was not clear if he would be able to walk again. Fortunately, Navarre responded quickly and he also learned to walk again.
It was a while before Navarre could go back into the wild, considering he was still weak and could not run, let aside ensuring his own safety or fending for himself. Navarre did recover fully but he did not live long. The impact of the incident had far-reaching implications as Navarre succumbed due to the injuries two months later.
