What would you do if you ever find a stray dog who is in a terrible state of health?

Bill and Krista Tells were a loving couple whose love for dogs is evident. They have two adorable pooches – Remington and Diesel. They were going about their usual day when Billy spotted something in his monitor that looked like a deer. He called Krista to let her see what found, but it was then that they made a shocking discovery.

Hours of search commenced, but it was only after a while did they finally find the stray dog – after it popped its white head that’s clearly visible in amidst the green nature.

The poor white dog was finally rescued, but upon a closer look, they knew they needed to act fast and seek medical attention for the stray dog.

The dog is all but skin and bones and it is evident how dehydrated and starving he was. He tries to eat anything he can get his mouth on, even toys. That’s how food-deprived the dog was.

The road to recovery was not as easy as a walk in the park. When he was rushed to the hospital, the vets thought he won’t make it. He was so dehydrated, skin was so dry, his nose was cracked, eyes are sunken and not to mention is he starving to death. This is the reason why he tries to eat anything he can get his mouth on. He has all the symptoms and is suffering all the negative effects that a severely starved and dehydrated dog has. He even has cuts and bites on his body that shows he might have been attacked by wild animals like coyotes.

It was then that Krista knew she needs to take Billy, the new name of the stray dog, home. The moment she saw Billy up close, looking weak yet stares right into her eyes as if telling her he feels safe with her, that’s the moment she knew Billy needs her, and she needs Billy. When her husband was asked about what he thought after hearing Krista’s plan, all he could say is, “there’s no denying that Krista wanted to foster home, and I don’t think I could have stopped that.”

On the second day of Billy’s hospitalization, he started to become more active, but stills need all the help he can get to gain weight and repair the damages caused by dehydration and starvation. However, hospital bills started piling up, and soon reached a total of fewer than five thousand dollars.

They set up a fundraiser online and aimed for the goal of $7,000. To Bill and Krista’s surprise, they reached their goal and raised more than $8,000.

The love and support that Billy gained online were overwhelming. More than 200 people donated for Billy but they were able to acquire more than enough to pay his hospital bills. This brought tears to Billy’s new owners. With all the love and support that other people are giving for Billy, one can’t deny the fact that he has already made a big impact on people’s lives.
