Dog Finds A New Home After A Lifetime At A Shelter

The woman who wanted to adopt Olive was also special.

She had started a page on Facebook for Olive even before she had begun the adoption process. She had chosen Olive and the staff at the shelter could not have been happier.
Every dog needs a forever home and anyone who works with dogs wants to see them find a loving family to spend their entire lives. For the staff at the shelter, the development generated a mixed feeling. It was happy and sad. Happy because Olive found a home and sad because she would not call Yonkers Animal Shelter her home anymore and the staff would not be her immediate family any longer.
Not many dogs would be able to wait that long and yet be so ecstatic after finding a home and a family. Then again, not many waits this long will result in such a heartening beginning.
