Do you think our dogs really love us? I used to wonder about this sometimes.

I know some people who say that our dogs only love us because we feed them, and provide them with shelter. I just don’t believe that. To be sure, I think my dog Milo is pretty grateful to have those things, but I don’t think that’s why he loves me. I think we have built a bond, over the course of the nine years that I have been lucky enough to own him.

And I think he shows me that bond in a variety of ways. As it turned out, I wasn’t wrong in my opinion of things. There are in fact a ton of ways in which our dogs show us how much they care!
