Flies And Maggots Were Eating This Homeless Dog Alive, That Is Until They Came Along
A large portion of his head and an ear has already fed the maggots, and the surrounding tissues are most likely dead. The aging dog was evidently weak and has been suffering for quite some time now, and his rescuers knew they had to act fast.
When they found him, he was lying beside a wall, too weak to move an inch. One rescuer tried to go near him and was able to pet his head.
The poor sweet thing was so weak to even react to what was happening around him. He probably too exhausted from having no food and water supply, plus the pain made it even worse.
He tried to sit but was only able to lift his head up. A rescuer was able to wrap him up in a blanket and the dog did not even whine, cry, put up a fight or even make a reaction.
Without the energy and will to resist, they were able to bring him to their hospital without a fuss.Upon arrival, the vets and the rest of the rescue team started working. They did not want waste more time in saving the dog. First, they cleaned one of his legs to prepare him for his needed IV fluids.
Next, they applied powder to kill all the maggots that are eating his flesh and wrapped his wound in the meantime. Painkillers and antibiotics were given to him to aid his healing as well as to lessen the pain.
After a few hours, all maggots are dead. It’s now time to remove all the maggots and remove the dead tissues surround his wound. It was then they found out his entire ear was necrotic, and they had no other option but to remove his infected ear. Using a scalpel, they cut the dead tissues and flushed hundreds of dead maggots down the drain.
