When A Group Of Kids Found This Poor Stray Poodle, They Thought It was Already Dead!
He let Laureta wash him squeaky clean and enjoy the bath after a long time of not having one. Now that he’s all clean, his rescuers knew what can cheer up this poor boy – a well deserved, rest, lots of love and care, playmates and a new home.
Today, Nobu is happily living with his new foster family in a home he belongs, all thanks to Hope For Paws, the kids who asked for help, and Smooch Pooch who found his perfect home.
A nice, sweet story, isn’t it? It may not be as dramatic as other rescue stories, but why did I choose this simple rescue video to write a review today? Because I was surprised by the new information I learned thanks to this story. The part when the kids told the rescuers they sought the help of other organizations only to be turned down.
It might have been easier to understand if their reason for not being able to help was because they can no longer accommodate a new dog. Or maybe there were more serious cases they have attend first. But to call for help on people you thought were dedicated to animal rescue, only to hear the responses the kids received was appalling.
You need to make donations before they can come, rescue and collect a poor stray dog who badly needed their help? And a big donation at that. And to receive the response that the dog will be put to sleep after a few days, without them even seeing the dog and have it checked? It made my blood boil.
I don’t know if that’s really a thing, but it why not rescue without having second thoughts, asking for a huge sum of money before helping? Aren’t donations meant to be voluntary? To think these are kids asking for help. And to tell kids it will be euthanized after a few days?
I feel sorry for the people who have experienced such calls. Dogs don’t deserve that kind of treatment, as well as the people who were kind enough to help.
