Dogs tend to have a love-hate relationship with mailmen or delivery men because of an obvious reason. Dogs are very protective of their territory, and since a mailman’s job is to deliver, dogs often misunderstood this as a form of intrusion, thus explaining their behavior when it comes to delivery men.

The German shepherd seems to be patiently waiting for the mailman’s arrival. He almost wants to jump off the gate just to get his hugs. The man is more than willing to comply as he is seen getting off his bike to deliver the mails and going straight to pat the waiting dog.

Collins said it has been a natural occurrence for this unidentified man to show some love on his pup. He even stops by to greet the lovely dog even if he has no mail to deliver on his house. the Facebook post went viral and have accumulated more than 14,500 shares and 6.2 million views.

What a story. Now, these are the type of stories that any pet owner would love to see. It is true that most animals are misunderstood just because of their looks. It all boils down to one thing – we judge something because we don’t know a thing.

It’s sad to think physical appearances are used as a basis on how you are treated and viewed. Just like this dog, he was misunderstood because of his built and appearance. What stranger don’t know is how friendly and gentle this big boy is. All it takes are a keen eye, an open mind and a loving heart to see the best in somebody.
