- Labradors moderately shed their fur two times a year.
They only need minimal grooming but sheds regularly. Twice a year, their shedding becomes more prominent – during summer to shed the winter coats that protect them from the cold, and in autumn to get ready for winter.

These gentle canines love the cold but can thrive in almost any type of environment.

As mentioned before they were bred for purposes that need high levels of energy and stamina as they used to work hand in hand with hunters and fishermen.

Some live below 10, while others can live up to more than 14 years. The oldest Labrador ever recorded was Adjutant. He lives up to a staggering age of 27 years and 3 months. Of course, there are many factors that can lead as to how long or short the lifespan of Labradors, just like any breed and any creature on earth.
