With kindness, love and patience! As Justin’s friend aptly explains to him, ‘Max just has to know you want him.’
As a beautiful friendship flourishes between Max and Justin, things take a turn when Kyle’s friend in uniform – the marine, comes to see the family. Max does not react well and launches himself at the friend but is stopped by Justin. From the trailer, it is clear that Kyle’s Tyler does not have good intentions. Dogs can often sense when people don’t mean well and Max clearly does not like Tyler. The movie later reveals that Tyler does, in fact, have some deals with cartel members to sell them weapons and Kyle actually knew about his shady dealings.
How the movie ends is something people should find out on their own! Whether Tyler pays for his crimes and whether Max ever recovers from the war and Kyle’s death remains to be seen till the climax of the movie. But it’s a movie that every dog owner needs to watch, especially those who have “war” dogs. These dogs too, need love, attention and patience and this movie highlights that very well.
