Now known as Pax, this poor dog was rescued after a phone call from a concerned citizen. This individual complained that the dog was being kept chained up in the backyard all day. They added that the dog didn’t seem as though it had been properly fed in days, if not longer. It is important to remember at this point that without brave individuals like this caller, these dogs would never be rescued.

When the dog was discovered, animal rescuers were absolutely stunned by what they found. The dog was severely abused and malnourished. In fact, to look at some of the pictures now, it is difficult to imagine how this dog was able to hang on for as long as it did.
