| What Project Freedom Ride is all about
If you ask Jennifer, they call themselves a community who aims to give shelters dogs a forever home. They team up with Texas Rescues who saves dogs from high kill shelters, from the streets or any dog they come across that is no longer wanted – before they even find their way into shelters. These Rescue groups are for dogs by vetting them, finding them foster homes – all the while getting them ready to be adopted and looking for someone to take them home.
Depending on many aspects, the transfer from Texas to Washington typically takes 2-4 week minimum. Project Freedom Ride is making use of social media like Facebook and Instagram to promote their cause and find these unfortunate dogs a new home.
Little Roman does a whole lot of things for Project Freedom Ride. He is basically in charge of marketing the dogs through the videos that are posted on social media. He even answers calls from individuals who wanted to adopt a rescue dog.
Project Freedom Ride relies 100% on donations. With each dog they relocate from Texas to Washington, they spend about $165 per dog. Before they do the relocation, they also spend about $100-$150 per dog on vetting. Their very first transport was way back in December 2016.
