The Vet Gave Up On Him, But One Young Woman Had Hope
The vet told her that Benji is basically a lost cause. He told her that the best option for Benji is to just put the poor dog to sleep. But Misus Yaya didn’t want to euthanize the poor dog. She saw hope in his eyes when no one else spared a glance, so what she did was to take him home.
So, she did just that and gave Benji a home. He was given antibiotics to help him heal. The first thing she did back home was to give the dog a bath. However, because his smell is so pungent, no matter how many baths they give him, he just smelled so bad. Still, they kept him.
Benji was given a bath once a week and coconut oil was spread all over his body daily. He was fed with nutritious dog food, and soon enough, he began to heal at an amazing speed.
Benji loves to be pet, stretch, play with his new sibling, and his new humans. He loves going to the beach where he just runs and plays in the sun. When his savior is away, he has his sibling and two caretakers to take care of him.
Just three months after being rescued, Benji became a cute little Teddy Bear. His fur started and won’t stop growing. He became fluffier as time goes by, and looks nothing like the first time he arrived home.
Benji is now happy, healthy and full of fur, all thanks to one young woman who never gave up on him. Because of this story, it gave me hope that no dog is a lost cause. Until a dog is still breathing and it looks at you in the eye filled with hope, we should never give up on trying to do everything we can to help.
Just look at him now!
One does not need lots of money, lots of time or lots of people to support you just so you can save a life and make a difference. We can all do something to help someone, even in our own little ways.
There is no such thing as a lost cause, just a lost hope.
