These Poor Dogs Have Been Through Hell And Back! Read The Awful Truth Here!

| Most, if not all were suffering from different infections, injuries, and trauma. One even died because of poor health while under the custody of the local police.
The great news is, HSI/India was awarded custody of the remaining dogs even after Aizawl’s petition to keep custody of the said dogs while the case is still ongoing. HSI/India filed a complaint against Aizawl Dog Meat Seller Association for illegal tracking of dogs and their meat.
In India, HSI launched their campaign to stop the dog meat trade in 2016. They still have a long way to go, but with continuous efforts and supports, the trading and consumption of dogs as meats would end hopefully sooner than later.
For dog lovers and owners like us, knowing our canine buddies are being used as meat is a horrible nightmare. It may be something other places in the world usually does, but for me and all other dog lovers and owners in the world (and including you I hope!) are praying that this stops ASAP.
Thanks to the efforts of some rescue groups and organizations, as well as regulations, signed and approved by leaders, most dog meat trade has been stopped. But that doesn’t stop illegal traffickers from trading simply because there are still many who eat dog meat, and many are still buying dog meat.
Dogs are man’s best friend, and as much as possible should be kept that way. Not as a toy, not as a disposable accessory, and definitely not as a meal.
