She was hypothermic and she was found in a dire strait, covered in feces, presumably her own. Marian was cleaned up, she had medical checkups and she was found to be stable, although she was weak and struggling with her body temperature.

The two dogs, Olaf and Mariah, different in many ways and the most obvious being the species and their sizes, were suffering, in a new environment and had no clue what would happen to them. They were experiencing emotional turmoil that they may not have faced ever but they found one another. Olaf recovering with a pink cast and Mariah trying to eat healthy, sleep well and grow stronger started to bond. They became friends and started to explore their small world together. They would stay with each other, have fun and also rest together.
As days went by and both recovered steadily, their friendship grew stronger. No one can really weigh how much pain or abuse one dog can experience compared to another but every dog deserves the kind of friendship Olaf and Mariah have developed.
