It’s amazing how something so sad and tragic ended up with a happy ending.

What’s more remarkable is how Hannah’s journey was able to touch people’s lives, particularly the young boy. All thanks to Hannah, young as the boy was, his mind was opened to the sad realities of rescue dogs when Hannah touched his heart.

This story made my heart swell with pride for the young boy’s actions, and happiness for Hannah as she was able to find a forever home, with a bonus sister who helped her cope with her past. I hope more dogs and other pets get to have the courage to hold a bit longer until they are rescued from such horrible faith. I also hope shelters would change their policies when it comes to dog euthanasia just to make way for new rescues. It just doesn’t make sense to me to rescue these poor dogs only to kill them at a later date just to make way for other dogs who came a little bit later. At least have more shelter that can house these dogs.

As a dog-owner, it hurts to see poor animals suffer because of human’s fault. If only I have the capacity and resources to take all rescue dogs, I would have done it already in the past. For now, we can only hope more dogs are rescued on time before everything is too late.
